American Idol Shocker!

Last week's elimination night was a really really shocking one for me. As usual, Ryan Seacrest kept everyone at the edge of their seats while waiting for the final results. In the meantime, we were entertained by guest singer, Leona Lewis, whose eyes (and song) captivated my attention. First up on the stage were the two Davids, and as I predicted, they stayed on for next week. Then came Brooke and Syesha, and at this point I thought that Brooke would be the one heading heading for the stools since she stopped right at the beginning of the song. I was surprised when Syesha was the one who was in the bottom two. When Jason and Carly went up on stage, I knew that Carly was confident that she would stay for next week, and again I predicted wrongly. Carly was sent to join Syesha in the bottom two, and seeing that the two great performers of the night before in the bottom two made me wonder what was really going on. Then the real shocker came. Carly was sent home. Even the judges were as shocked as I was when Ryan announced that Carly would be going home. I still can't believe how this Irish lass with a huge voice did not deserve a place for next week. After all, Simon did compare her to Kelly Clarkson before. Let's just wait for her upcoming album!

I Live to Eat!

My love for eating started since I was young, and I have a really sweet tooth for candies and other sweet treats such as cakes. Every time I enter a candy store, I feel like raiding everything off the shelves (I'll pay, not steal). Not to mention that whenever I pass by a cake shop, especially Secret Recipe, I simply can't take my eyes off the irresistible cakes on display. Gosh! They look so yummy, don't they? Thank goodness I have a really great mom whose passion for baking keeps me satisfied at all times. Thanks Mummy!!
